Dan Lee | Pastor-Teacher

Pastor Dan was born in South Korea. He immigrated to the states with his family in 1984 and grew up in Orange County. Although he grew up in the church, it wasn’t until he started reading the Scriptures on his own that he came to faith in Christ during his High School years. Since then, he has served in various capacities as worship leader, Sunday school teacher, intern pastor, youth pastor, associate pastor, and most recently a church-planter/co-pastor from 2007-2014, after earning his MDiv from The Master's Seminary. God has graced him with Karena, his wonderful wife since 2002, and five adorable kids. Dan loves fellowshiping with others around God’s Word and witnessing the Spirit of God transform lives. He enjoys sipping coffee with Karena, laughing and playing with the kids, playing music, coding (ran a small software consultancy for 12+ years), reading well-written books (esp. biographies), and discovering good eats. He has also served as the Academic Dean of a pastoral training program in Southeast Asia.

In 2014, God providentially led him and his family to the greater Sacramento area and Dan has served in varying capacities at River City Grace Community Church (RCG). With the blessing and support of the elders at RCG, Dan accepted the call to the pastorate at FCC and has served as pastor-teacher since February 2017. His passion in life is to be spent for the Lord and His work in the lives of people around him—his family, the flock of God at FCC, and the South Bay community where God has planted them. He longs for the day when he can be with his Savior in the brilliant light of His glory, serving and worshipping and enjoying Him in his glorified body without the encumbrance of sin forever and ever. Until then, he strives to be a faithful instrument in the excellent hands of the Master who is building His church through the equipping of the saints through mean tools such as he for His own glory and name’s sake.
