Prayer Meetings

God hears us when we pray. Scripture reveals to us that in prayer we bend to God’s will and we seek for Him to do that which pleases and glorifies Him, not that which gratifies our own desires. This is how Christ prayed (Luke 22:42, “not My will, but Yours be done”) and this is the way He taught us to pray (Matthew 6:9-10, “Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”). We are to pray not for our will to be done but for His will to be done. In this sense, prayer is really just another form of worship wherein God’s glory and His purpose are set above our own and we humbly seek Him to do great things for His name’s sake. This is what we strive for when we come together in prayer.

On the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at 7pm, a number of us get together to seek the Lord in prayer in this fashion regarding various topics, including:

  • General thanks, praise, and worship to God

  • People in authority (e.g, our government & church leaders)

  • People who are sick & suffering

  • The gospel, evangelism, and those who work for the gospel

  • Personal prayer requests

Prayer meetings take place in one of our members’ homes and the location changes from time to time, which is announced the week prior at our Sunday service. If you would like more information, reach out to us at the contact information below.
