When Jesus taught the parable of the landowner and vinegrowers, he was specifically speaking this about the Pharisees. In the parable, the vinegrowers (Pharisees) rejected the landowner (God), did evil and sinned against his son (Jesus) by killing him. What will be his response? What will be God’s response to those who reject His son? God will destroy such people.
