At the end of the book of Revelation, Jesus has one final message. Jesus says he’s the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. We know he’s in the beginning from John 1:1-2. We know he’s in the end because we just learned about it in the book of Revelation with everything God showed John (Jesus coming back like a warrior to battle against Antichrist and Satan, Jesus ruling over the world as king for 1000 years, Jesus judging everyone according to the Book of Life, Jesus with believers in the new heavens, earth, and Jerusalem). Jesus also describes who is with Him in the new Jerusalem. True believers are in the new Jerusalem. True believers 1) believe in Jesus as savior, 2) obey Jesus as Lord, and 3) turn away from sin. Otherwise, everyone else is not in the new Jerusalem and in the Lake of Fire because they do NOT believe, obey, and turn away from sin. Lastly, we don’t know when everything God showed John in Revelation will happen. But we do know that God’s prophecy and plans always come true. And Jesus Himself says three times that He is coming quickly!
