Pharaoh and his army chased and caught the Israelites by the Red Sea. But the LORD parted the waters, and the Israelites crossed to safety. The Egyptian army was drowned after following them in, just as God had planned. Israel rejoiced in God’s triumph with songs, praising God for their rescue from the Egyptians.
