King Nebuchadnezzar recalls as the beginning of the dream that God had sent - of a great, fruitful tree that was seen across the earth. This tree is king Nebuchadnezzar himself, Daniel explains. But as seen in the dream, God’s plan is to remove the power and kingdom away from King Nebuchadnezzar for seven years. That is, until he recognizes God as the Most High over all affairs of man. A year later, in the midst of boasting in his own strength, King Nebuchadnezzar is humbled by God as exactly promised; the once powerful king is now alone in the fields eating grass. At the end of the seven years, Nebuchadnezzar does come to praise, exalt and honor God - the one who is Most High.
