God saves the jailer (Acts 16:16-40)

Paul and Silas were in the city of Philippi when a fortune telling slave-girl with an evil spirit met them. Paul cast the spirit out of the slave-girl but made her masters angry whose hopes of earning a profit were now gone. These masters got Paul and Silas into trouble with the authorities who ordered Paul and Silas to be beaten and imprisoned. While in prison, Paul and Silas were worshiping when an earthquake struck. When the prison doors opened, Paul stopped the jailer from killing himself. The jailer wanted to know how to be saved. He asked Paul and Silas who said: believe in Jesus. The jailer believed! The people who first put Paul and Silas in prison started treating Paul and Silas nicely having learned that they were Roman citizens. After being released from prison, Paul and Silas encouraged the brethren before they left the city.
