Moses Sins and Israel Sins (Numbers 20:2-13, 21:4-9)

There are two situations in our passage today in which Israel complained. The first situation was having no water. God instructed Moses to deal with the water shortage, but Moses did not obey Him exactly because He did not believe. The second situation was that Israel had to take the long way to the promised land. Israel became impatient and falsely accused God and Moses. God’s wrath rightly broke out against Israel but He also provided a way for them to be saved if they exercised belief – by looking at a bronze serpent that He had Moses make. Believers in God would do what God says and be saved!
