After being arrested, the religious leaders of Israel searched for accusations against Jesus. They brought many against Jesus but were not able to find any consistent testimony to put Jesus to death. But upon asking Jesus about who He was, they rejected Jesus’ expression of the truth - that He is the Christ, the Son of God - as blasphemy. The religious leaders rejected the One that God had sent.
