Putting on the full armor of God is to be accompanied by prayer. Paul specifies that this is not just any kind of prayer but one that is “in the Spirit,” that is, prayer that is mindful of God the Spirit who indwells us.
God knows our spiritual needs and He has given us a full armor to ensure our spiritual protection. We trust in the wisdom of our loving heavenly Father and we earnestly put on the full armor He’s given us for our good.
We need strength for our spiritual well-being and God has provided for us the means to find this strength and stand firm against the schemes of the Devil. May we all be wise and diligent to put on the full armor of God!
