This sermon discusses additional attributes of God seen in the Genesis 1:2-4, namely, God is near, God is authoritative and God is good. This covers an explanation of the physical world on day one of creation, including the formless matter and space that is above it and the darkness there and the light that counters it in that space.
The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
