Moses moves on from the good of creation and Eden to the origin of evil. Evil comes by way of the deceiver. In this study, we examine who/what the serpent was as well as his strategy of deception. The promise of the seed of the woman is the final motif that begins in Genesis 3 that stretches through a major portion of Genesis and then developed through the rest of the Old Testament. The God of grace has given the promise of this seed, which looks ahead to Christ. He is the Victor over the deceiver and He shares His victory with all who are one with Him. In Christ, every child of God overcomes the world and the Devil. Hallelujah! What a Savior!
