God planned to teach Abraham about His righteousness, and Abraham learns as He asks God questions about how God would deal with a city full of wicked people but with just a few who are righteous. Lot lived in such a city and when two angels visited, Lot invited them to stay with him. The men of Sodom wanted to harm the angels and Lot but the angels kept Lot and his family safe. The angels warn Lot to flee because God is planning on destroying the city. Lot is not sure about leaving, but the angels treat him kindly by bringing him out of the city, safely. God completely destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and Abraham saw this. In all of this destruction, God kept Lot safe. God is righteous!
