In this lesson, we will see Jesus planned events so that He could enjoy one last Passover meal with His disciples. At this meal, Jesus explained that He will be the new Passover sacrifice, the new Passover lamb. His body would be given in the place of sinners, and His blood would establish the new promise. But even though Jesus foresaw the timing of His death, it was still very hard for Him to face, for He was truly human. In His weakness, He prayed and received strength from God to stand firm to endure the cross ahead.
