Jesus calls His disciples (Mark 1:16-20)

Jesus moves to the Sea of Galilee where he begins his ministry. First, He calls His very first disciples or followers. Jesus calls fishermen (Simon, Andrew, James, and John) to come and follow Him and He will make them fishers of men (for God’s kingdom). These fishermen had a big decision to make and they chose to become followers or disciples of Jesus - leaving behind their jobs as fishermen and even leaving behind their family as James and John literally did by leaving their father in the boat to follow Jesus. Jesus is the one who calls His followers and disciples. And Christians are ones who follow Jesus and put Jesus first above everything else.
