Jesus is the true King and Son of God who came to fulfill God’s plan - by giving of His very body and suffering in the place of sinners, paying the penalty for sin. Jesus when He was crucified experienced pain and the wrath of God; this was the Savior that God promised and sent to sinners, doing that which no other could do - redeem His own who were dead in their sins so that they could become children of God. Through Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross, God’s plan for salvation and grace is accomplished. Through Him, God’s love and glory is demonstrated perfectly.
