Moses calls the Israelites to listen up because God calls Israel to love through obedience to His words and commandments. Moses reminds the Israelites that God is their God and God is one. Then, Moses tells the Israelites to love God with all their heart, soul, and might - to love God with all their being. And to love God’s word by teaching and talk about it, any place and all the time. And finally to love God’s word by remembering it, binding God’s word to themselves to that they always see it and remember it.
