Jesus teaches that His disciples are those that serve God and His kingdom. Instead of storing up treasures on earth and worrying all about earthly needs, disciples of Jesus store up treasures in heaven and have faith in God and their Father’s care. Jesus shows how the treasures and worries that we carry with us can fail us and draw us away from trusting in God alone. Jesus encourages disciples to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness!
