Jesus declares that He has forgiven the sins of a paralytic. The Pharisees scoff and think, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?” Jesus then heals the paralytic, demonstrating that He truly can forgive sins and thus He truly is God.
