In our November meeting of Women of the Word, we began with a hymn (I Need Thee Every Hour) and prayer. Then, we began our time of Scripture memorization [see handout with footnotes below] with Jesus’s call to persistent prayer (Matthew 7:7-8). Next, we considered the illustration of the earthly father vs. the Heavenly Father (Matthew 7:9-11). And finally, we ended with Jesus’s command to do God’s will by loving others - the “Golden Rule” - (Matthew 7:12). We closed with prayer.
