God Preserves Noah (Genesis 8:1-9:21)

God sees that people throughout the world are exceedingly wicked, continually thinking about and doing evil things. He warns Noah that He plans to flood the earth and blot out every living thing on it. God instructs Noah to build an ark for himself, his family, and animals of every kind, promising to keep them safe. Noah obeys God, and just as God promised, they remain safe during the flood. After spending over a year in the boat, Noah and the others are able to step onto dry land, and he worships God. God blesses Noah and his family in a multitude of ways and promises that He will never again flood the whole earth, providing the rainbow as the sign of His promise.
