Solomon’s kingdom was stunningly successful. He was the wisest man on earth, he built the majestic temple and many other buildings, and he made the kingdom so unbelievably rich. Even more important, Solomon loved and obeyed the LORD. God even appeared a second time to Solomon blessing his work on temple. But we read here that God was angry at Solomon, so what happened that caused God to be angry at Solomon? The bible says he turned his heart away from the LORD and he did not observe what the LORD had commanded. We will see about how Solomon turned his heart against God, how God judged Solomon, and lastly, we will also see how God is merciful and keep his promises.
