David trusts God’s plan, not his own hand (1 Samuel 24:1-22)

King Saul returns from fighting the Philistines to chase then after David, in order to kill him. Saul brings along a whole fleet of men, but happens to separate himself for a moment in the cave. However, further inside, David and his men are present. The men try to convince David to take this opportunity, to seize the gift that God has provided; but David instead recognizes that Saul is still the LORD’s anointed. Instead, he spares Saul’s life and protects him - David chooses to trust in God’s plan, and not grab the crown by his own hand.
