In our September meeting of Women of the Word, we began with a hymn (“Here is Love”) and prayer. Then, we began our time of Scripture memorization [see handout with footnotes below] with a review of the previous month’s passage (Matthew 6:25-30). Next, we continued on the topic of not worrying about food and clothing by memorizing (Matthew 6:31-32). Then, in Matthew 6:33, we saw how Christ called His disciples to prioritize and pursue His kingdom and righteousness. And finally, we reflected on how Christ’s disciples do not worry about the future (Matthew 6:34). We closed by reciting Matthew 6:25-34 and ended with prayer.
